Piercing Healing Instructions

Complete healing time: 2-6 months. (Lobe), 6-24 months (Conch-Helix-Tragus-Daith-Rook)

Complete healing: no pain, no discomfort, no discharge, no crust formation

Piercing Cleaning:

  • Always wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before touching the piercing.
  • Soak the piercing with saline solution or spray it well with piercing spray.
  • Allow it to air dry on its own. Never dry it with a towel

Repeat 3 times a day for at least 1 month.

Then reduce the frequency until complete healing.

 What to watch out for:

  • Personal hygiene is MANDATORY. (Clean clothes, sheets, towels, etc.)
  • Be very careful not to get the jewellery caught on your clothes when you get dressed, on the towel after bathing, or on bracelets, rings, etc., as hands pass through the area.
  • Do not use antiseptics and disinfectants on the piercing. They will dry it out and irritate it.
  • Do not change the jewellery until it is fully healed. Changing the jewellery too soon can interrupt the healing process and increase the risk of infection.
  • Avoid swimming pool, sea, bubble baths, hot tubs, saunas, and excessive sweating. (At least for 15 days, then rinse thoroughly with water and wash with saline solution or spray)
  • Do not play with the jewellery and do not rotate it, as this can introduce bacteria and delay the healing process or cause infection. Touch the piercing only when it’s necessary and always with clean hands.
  • After showering, rinse the piercing well with water to remove soap residue from the body- hair wash.
  • Local sensitivity, swelling, and light bleeding are expected in the first few days and will gradually subside.
  • Try not to sleep ON your fresh piercing. (As long as it’s possible)

Signs of infection:

  • Pain, redness, severe swelling that worsens.
  • Discharge of fluids (yellow, green), unpleasant smell.
  • Burning sensation around the piercing area.
  • Fever.

If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical help immediately.
