You’ll feel some pain when your nose is pierced. You may have some blood, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at first. It may be sore, tender, and red for up to 3 weeks.
Pierced nostrils heal completely in about 2 to 4 months.
How to Care for Your Nose Piercing:
Wash your hands before touching the piercing or your nose jewellery.
Clean your nose gently with a gauze pad or a swab soaked in saline solution.
3 times a day for 2 months.
Don’t get in any water that could be dirty until your nose heals. Avoid soak the piercing in swimming pools, lakes, rivers, and hot tubs etc.
Don’t use antibacterial ointments.
Don’t move your nose jewellery until it’s healed.
Sleep on clean sheets.
On bath/ shower wash gently with clean water any suds on the pierced area.
Nostril piercing tends to heal very fast without jewel! If the jewellery is gone, put it back on immediately.
You can change the jewellery ONLY when the piercing is totally healed! (2 months at least)
Nose jewellery shouldn’t be too large or heavy, or it can cause pain or swelling.
